நெடுஞ்சாலைகள் மற்றும் எண்ணெய் குதவசதிகளை அமைத்தல் என்பவை தொடர்பாக சீனாவின் எக்ஸிம் வங்கியுடன் 350 மில்லியன் டொலர் பெறுமதியான இரு உடன்படிக்கைகளில் இலங்கை கைச்சாத்திட்டுள்ளது.
இந்த இரு உடன்படிக்கைகளும் அதிகளவு தேவைப்படும் உள்சார்கட்டமைப்பு வசதிகளை மேம்படுத்துவதற்கான வழியை ஏற்படுத்திக் கொடுப்பதுடன் நாட்டின் எதிர்கால சமூக, பொருளாதார அபிவிருத்திக்கும் பங்களிப்பினை வழங்கும் என்று வெளிவிவகார அமைச்சு தெரிவித்திருக்கிறது.
எண்ணெய் குதங்கள் அம்பாந்தோட்டை துறைமுகத்தில் நிர்மாணிக்கப்படவுள்ளன. சீன நிறுவனங்கள் மேற்கொண்டு வரும் முதற்கட்டப் பணிகளுக்கு 360 மில்லியன் டொலர்களை வழங்குவதாக ஏற்கெனவே எக்ஸிம் வங்கி உறுதியளித்திருக்கிறது.
கொழும்புகட்டுநாயக்க விமான நிலைய நெடுஞ்சாலையை அமைப்பதற்கு நிதி வழங்குவது இரண்டாவது உடன்படிக்கையாகும். 30 கி.மீ. தூரத்தில் இந்த நெடுஞ்சாலை அமைக்கப்படுகிறது.

Sri Lanka was and still is capable of becoming a prosperous country like Singapore or Switzerland in the Indian ocean without any help from others. China and India competing with each other to help us to build bridges and oil facilities is not at all giving us any good signs. This is going to be more serious than the civil war. I don’t think we are actually solving the problems but preparing a platform for a future war between India and China in our land. We have many strategic thinkers, think tanks and great intellactuls in our country but we don’t respect them instead we let the country to run by people who only have short term goals. Tamils, Sinhala and Muslims in this country should unite together to build this nation completely independent of some of these superpowers and emerging superpowers. We can be friendly with everybody without selling our land to third parties piece by piece. If India can have different religons and cultures living together as one country, we can also implement similar solutions without dividing the country. We should be open to suggestions. Let the Tamils live in the Sinhala areas and Sinhala live in the Tamil araes but we should have some kind of state system just like they have in India, United Kingdom and Canada. Let Tamils and Sinhala intermarry. Let us both learn each others languages. Let us enjoy each others cultures. Let the Tamil and Sinhala Diaspora become Sri Lankan Diaspora. Let us give imporatnce to the English language and get our children to become fluent in the language of commerce. Powerful Sri Lanka Diaspora is is more capable of building our country than these selfish giants who are using our place for their own agendas

Was this on a aid package or a long term loan? China is certainly making sure that her influence and control in the Indian Ocean arena is well established, and in the event that hostilities break out in the middle east, once the Oil starts drying up, they have more than a base in Sri Lanka. We must appreciate that there is nothing called a free lunch or as they say nothing for nothing and very little for sixpence. China is not doing this for nothing, and our people should understand that the obligation will be tied with ropes and not strings. We may putting all our eggs in one basket, and that can be tricky on the long run.

I have several times pointed out that the government must eliminate ramphant waste and corruption prevailing in the country.Now the Chinese will send our country their,consultants,contractors and labourers too to implement this road project.an example is the Kandy-Kurunegala-Putlum road project.it was an extreamly substandard road project in SL performed by Chinese Contractors. We need not to offer our begging bowl to China and India if we could manage our Social Wealth properly for the benefit of the nation.I don’t believe this government or a UNP government could do that.they have their personal agendas. I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO.
